Before we had seen one of Michael Weinart's Cyp. Sabine Pastel, we thought that a pure white Sabine-like flower would be a sight to behold. Thus, we crossed Sabine with a macranthos var alba that has a crystalline white flower (see our Cyp. macranthos page to see the parent flower). The result is extremely nice! Tom, is a very large flower; resting, the sepal tips are 9.8 cm apart. It is has a slightly yellowish cast.
Tom Velardi is a great friend who has done a great deal to popularize the keeping of Cyp's. He does all that he can to bring growers together with one another. We wanted to honor his efforts with the best effort we have made.
